About the Show
This one-man show is the comedic journey of a New York City electrician and crime-fighter.
Described as part Mr. McGoo and part Jacques Tati, the 60 minute show has him solving a series
of low-intensity crimes, while discovering love and the occasional friend.
Written and performed by David Ackerman, the Toronto actor and writer is, "excited to be mounting
a new production for Toronto audiences." The character of Albert Herz is his creation and emerged from
an improvisation with Gary Austin, the legendary founder of LA’s the Groundlings. "I love doing this character
and see it as my gift," Ackerman says. Austin calls it one of the “greatest characters created onstage.”
Ackerman has performed versions of the show at the Edmonton Fringe, as well as in New York
and L.A. This newest production features a song and a dance.
